Doolittle does a lot Sent: 31 August 2010 Eliza Doolittle is knowing ingenue.
I really enjoyed this album, many tracks made me want to get up and dance, particularly "Pack Up", "Go Home" and "Mr Medicine". I first listened to it on a train platform in Cardiff, and I think some of my fellow passengers thought I was a little mad, but my feet just HAD to move.
Whilst having a mainly light poppy feel, this album is lyrically very clever, and the musical references are also very witty. I also very much enjoyed "Empty Hand", the sting in the tail.
Kate Nash and Lily Allen-esque but with a much more pleasant singing voice.
Love it! Sent: 30 August 2010 I instantly fell in love with her music when I heard 'pack up' for the first time. Every track in this album won't disappoint you. I also like the fact that she doesn't sing in American accent which many other artists do. As in other reviews, her music makes me happy. This is definitely a 'feel good' album not to miss!!
love it Sent: 30 August 2010 Love the CD. I live in the US and heard Eliza on BBC 1 on satellite radio. Had to get the CD and I'm lovin it.
Doolittle Delight Sent: 27 August 2010 This is a brilliant summer album. It reminds me of Lily Allen crossed with Corrine Bailey Rae!! A pleasure to listen to with some really catchy tunes.. Perfect for summer driving sing along..
Pack up your troubles Sent: 24 August 2010 I heard the song pack up on the radio & loved it so I decided to buy the album it was on, some of the songs sound similar but it is good.
